EU\u00a0alumna\u00a0Lubna Arab lives and works in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Lubna\u00a0studied\u00a0her MBA with a major in HR at EU\u2019s online campus. She\u00a0works as an HR specialist at\u00a0Al-Futtaim<\/a>, a progressive business group operating in\u00a0the\u00a0automotive, financial services, real estate and retail sectors. Headquartered in Dubai,\u00a0Al-Futtaim employs over 42,000 people and operates in 29 countries through more than 200 companies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We asked Lubna to tell us about her experience at EU.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose to study at EU’s online campus? <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I liked the programs offered at EU Business School. Studying online gave me the flexibility I was seeking in a learning experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>\u2019<\/strong>s the biggest advantage for you of studying online? <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We live a really busy life nowadays. Choosing to study online meant I could keep my career while taking my MBA at the same time. Online study is helpful for business professionals who do not want to quit their career, as well as for global students to access the education they are looking for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you tell us about your favorite aspect of studying online with EU?\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well, I wanted to study business and HR from a global\u00a0perspective.\u00a0Having colleagues from many different countries around the globe was very interesting. From my international peers I learnt\u00a0where you can have an impact on\u00a0businesses\u00a0in other countries and\u00a0how\u00a0human\u00a0resources practices<\/a> and rules change in\u00a0different\u00a0places\u00a0and situations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, there was diversity in students not only country-wise but career-wise too which meant we could exchange different and helpful thoughts and have engaging discussions. Sharing their career experience was very valuable. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What tips can you share about\u00a0maintaining a good work-life balance when studying at home?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Time management is the key to success. I used to have a schedule of my webinars and I created weekly reminders so I\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0forget\u00a0a\u00a0webinar when I had\u00a0a busy day. Meeting deadlines\u00a0also releases\u00a0a lot of stress. If\u00a0students\u00a0manage their time\u00a0well\u00a0and stick to the\u00a0deadlines,\u00a0I believe they can still have nice weekends to enjoy and socialize.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What tips can you share about\u00a0making the most of the benefits of studying online?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Studying online can be challenging. However, EU provided us with everything we needed regarding recorded webinars, class discussions, and online libraries. These tools can make studying so fun especially as you have access to a lot of information which could help you in your research or in your career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
