After speaking with <strong>EU alumni working in global investment banks<\/strong>, Rron discovered his passion for financial markets and wealth management, the responsibilities of which resonated with him instantaneously.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1038\" height=\"1038\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/EUFS-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34964\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Realizing that he wanted to work in finance after completing his studies, Rron set out to <strong>create a platform where students could have the opportunity to meet the people in the industry\u2019s<\/strong> most sought-after positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The finance world possesses a climate of intense competition, where even entry-level positions demand high levels of experience. The EU Finance Society defines one of its core purposes as <strong>connecting students with industry professionals<\/strong>. It acts as a stepping stone, allowing students to express their interest, drive and passion, while providing them with an in-depth view of the complex workings within the field.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:35px\"><strong>The importance of teamwork<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The society\u2019s success has been made possible by the help of Rron\u2019s executive team, who have assisted with planning and activities since the early days of the club.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dean of EU\u2019s Geneva campus, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/en\/About-Us\/Faculty\/stef-de-jong.html\">Professor Stef de Jong<\/a>, was immediately supportive of the project<\/strong>, and gave the group the green light to proceed. Professor De Jong\u2019s extensive experience, knowledge, and connections in the industry led to invitations of high-profile guest speakers for the society. His devotion and willingness to be the president\u2019s right hand are highly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2439\" height=\"1829\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-88.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34979\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ch.linkedin.com\/in\/itani-hadi\">Hadi Itani<\/a> <\/strong>has been a member of the EU Finance Society since its humble beginnings. He demonstrates <strong>loyalty and dedication to the growth of the club<\/strong>, always treating its tasks with the professionalism that they demand. Hadi plays an integral role in supporting the president with marketing activities, planning future projects, and organizing guest speaker events.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br \/><br \/>Thanks must also be expressed to <a href=\"https:\/\/ch.linkedin.com\/in\/gezim-ismaili-a91b2a17a\">Gezim Ismaili<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ch.linkedin.com\/in\/artenis-metaliaj-6547961b9\">Artenis Metaliaj<\/a> for their encouragement during the society\u2019s early days. Their roles a<strong>s managing directors served to assuage initial doubts during the setting up of the club<\/strong>, and they have also assisted with selecting guest speakers, devising activities, and outlining future endeavours.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1372\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-842-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34982\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU Finance Society would also like to express its gratitude to all of its non-executive members, who join each meeting to share their opinions, and contribute to the growth of the club. They cannot be thanked enough for their participation and insights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/info.euruni.edu\/info-study-business-europe\/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=landing-generic-blog-30&amp;origen=30&amp;campaign=landing-generic-blog-30&amp;utm_mode=30\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"472\" height=\"72\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-7-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35028\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>Achievements and future plans<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The society has collaborated with members of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rothschildandco.com\/en\/\">Rothschild &amp; Co<\/a>, Anton WM SA (Suisse) and Honesto SA, along with various fund managers, private bankers and wealth managers. I<strong>t plans to hold networking events with global investment banks<\/strong>, visit the world\u2019s largest commodity trading offices, set up recruitment days with finance HR professionals and organize a conference by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/insights-dr-r-seetharaman-ceo-doha-bank\/\">Group CEO of Doha Bank, Dr. Raghavan Seetharaman<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/study.euruni.edu\/info-study-business-europe?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_mode=30&amp;utm_campaign=gif-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"125\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Define_750x125_3-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36087\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rron Morina founded the EU Finance Society in May 2021 as a first-year BBA student.
