Bio
Jas Bagri is Professor of Finance at EU Business School in Geneva, where he combines academic insight with extensive international experience in finance, consultancy, and strategic leadership. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economic Geography and an MBA from Durham University Business School (UK), and is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), having trained at a Big Four firm.
His research interests include franchising, globalization, and international trade, with published work such as "Franchising as a Business Development Strategy" for the UK Government. Since 2013, alongside lecturing, he has provided financial management expertise to organizations in the non-profit sector, with mandates including risk reviews, equity portfolio evaluations, and country office audits.
Previously, Jas served as Financial Controller at Cedar Mundi Ventures (2020–2021), a boutique venture capital firm, where he helped establish a USD 40 million tech-focused fund in the Cayman Islands. At the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), he held multiple leadership roles from 2006 to 2013, including CFO and Head of Internal Audit, driving operational growth and strategic reform.
Earlier roles include Senior Finance Manager at Bank AMAS (2001–2005), where he oversaw all financial matters in a family office for a HNWI. He also served as Project Manager at the United Nations (2000–2001), implementing an ERP system, and as Internal Auditor at the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) from 1996 to 1999. His consultancy work (1990–1995) spanned London, Moscow, and Kiev. He began his career as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte and PwC, auditing institutions such as Oxford University.
