EU Business School (EU) has been educating future entrepreneurs and business leaders since 1973. 

We are a high-ranking, international business school that offers foundation, bachelor’s, master’s and MBA programs, taught exclusively in English, in Barcelona, Geneva and Munich, as well as on our Digital Campus. 

Headquartered in Switzerland, we believe in Swiss values, an international mindset and a pragmatic approach to learning.

Our history

1973

EU Business School (formerly European University) was founded in 1973 as a private higher educational institution.

1987

EU Business School opens a campus in Geneva, a global hub of international diplomacy, finance and luxury.

1989

Continuing the drive to establish campuses in cosmopolitan cities with thriving business sectors, a new campus was established in Barcelona.

1991

Munich was selected for the next campus, thanks to its stellar reputation as an economic powerhouse of Germany.

1999

Dirk Craen acquired the institution, streamlining activities and pursuing professional accreditations for recognition in the corporate world and program development.

2006

The school became a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

2010

EU was accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP), both recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

2011

EU continued to gain more professional accreditations when it was recognized by CEEMAN IQA (Ceeman International Quality Accreditation).

2012

A pioneer in online learning, EU founded its Digital Campus in order to offer a future-forward, innovative and adaptable academic experience across the globe.

2014

In order to strengthen our business identity and in anticipation of changes in Swiss regulations, we changed our name to EU Business School. EU continued to expand its program range by partnering with University of Derby (UoD) in order to offer a state-accredited U.K. degree. EU gained certification from eduQua, the first Swiss quality label geared toward adult continuing education.

2015

EU partnered with University of Roehampton in the U.K. to offer state-recognized degrees.

2017

We added university degrees (título propio) to our portfolio, offered through our partnership with Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), Spain.

2021

EU signed agreements with Dublin Business School, Ireland, and London Metropolitan University, U.K., to expand the range of state-recognized degrees.

2022

EU Business School joined OMNES Education Group to offer further academic and international opportunities to its students. 

2023

EU celebrated its 50-year anniversary with high-profile celebrations, including hosting the prestigious QS Higher Education Summit.

2024

EU Business School expanded its Munich and Barcelona campuses to accommodate a growing student body of more than 130+ nationalities and ensure an optimal learning environment.

2025

EU Business School Geneva moved to a brand-new campus in Geneva’s exciting new business district. 
EU signed a new partnership with Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC) to offer the university degrees (título propio) in our portfolio.

Earn university & state-recognized degrees on EU campuses

Through our validating and accrediting academic partners, University of Derby and London Metropolitan University in the U.K. and Dublin Business School, Ireland, our students earn state-recognized university degrees. They also have the opportunity to earn university degrees (título propio) from Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central De Catalunya (UVic-UCC), Spain.
