Program structure

This is a one-year program (90 ECTS), divided into three terms. You will participate in business simulations and case studies to develop practical insights and real-world expertise. Once the core courses contained in the three terms are successfully completed, you will begin the capstone, which starts immediately after the completion of your last term.

Year 1
Term 1 (20 ECTS)
Operations & Technology Management

A business adds value through its operations, but only within a value network critically linked by technology. Understanding this connection is essential for aspiring managers, business owners or entrepreneurs. This course provides students with a broad understanding of operations and technology management, with a focus on value creation. Core activities include process mapping, problem-solving, case studies and active learning exercises, helping students stand out by mastering operational analysis.

International Business Strategy with Simulation

This course prepares students to understand business purpose and strategy development within global organizational contexts, for both small and large enterprises. Students will explore current strategic and societal issues raised by technological advancements. A key component of the course is participation in a business simulation, where students will compete against each other within a simulated global marketplace.

Term 2 (20 ECTS)
Leading & Developing People

The course prepares students to lead in complex international environments, to build high-performing teams and to create productive work cultures. Students will explore contemporary research, theories and examples of business practices, both past and present. The course focuses on the roles and responsibilities of managers and leaders, as well as the demands placed on these roles in international, digitally enabled businesses.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

This course will equip students with master’s-level skills and awareness of the challenges and opportunities within the ever-changing digital ecosystem. Students will critically explore theoretical frameworks and models relevant to digital and social media marketing, while examining supporting technologies and digital channels. The focus is on planning and integrating these elements into effective marketing programs and campaigns.

Term 3 (20 ECTS)
Sustainability in Global Companies

This course addresses the critical issue of how current thinking on sustainability impacts businesses and organizations, and how they respond. Students will explore the growing influence of sustainability through government policies, international agreements and the measurement of organizational practices' impacts on ecology and communities. The course examines current and future challenges, equipping students with knowledge to deal with the challenge of creating sustainable forms of business that operate within ecological and socio-economic limits.

Data Analysis for Global Business

This course offers students a critical understanding of data and techniques for analyzing global business. It covers data handling and econometric modeling and the mathematical and statistical foundations for data presentation and analysis. It enables students to develop expertise in advanced data analysis tools, preparing them for decision-making in a data-driven environment.

Graduation requirements

To earn the U.K. state-recognized degree awarded by London Metropolitan University and the degree from EU Business School Switzerland, which is institutionally accredited by IQA and certified by eduQua and programmatically by ACBSP and IACBE, students must successfully complete all 90 ECTS of the MSc International Business Management program.

This includes:

  • Courses contained in Term I, Term II and Term III (60 ECTS)
  • Capstone (30 ECTS)
Business Consultancy Project

After successfully completing the core courses, students are required to undertake a Business Consultancy Project in an area of interest. They will work on real-world issues organizations are facing, utilizing problem-solving skills and competencies to handle and manage business challenges and provide practical, solution-related recommendations. This project encourages students to take a pragmatic approach to their research, seeking to create actionable solutions of value to business managers, owners and entrepreneurs.

Academic requirements:

  • A minimum of a 2:2 Honors degree from a UK or recognized international university or another equivalent international qualification; or   
  • An acceptable professional qualification equivalent such as the CMI, CIM, ACCA, CIMA, at level 6 or above

Proof of English level:

  • TOEFL score 93/4.5 (as of Jan 2026) (internet-based), 238 (computer-based); IELTS 6.5 with at least a 5.5 minimum in each section; IELTS 6.5 with at least a 5.5 minimum in each section; CAE C1 with a minimum score of 176; minimum PTE-A of 59; native speaker of English or equivalent. 

You may be asked to attend a selection interview after your application has been reviewed.
