Bio
Rodrigo Iglesias Torturelli is a Professor and Head of Department at EU Business School in Barcelona, where he leads the academic development of programs in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Operations Management. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from the University of Barcelona and is currently a PhD Candidate in Law and Political Science at the same institution. His doctoral research focuses on the regulatory and economic impact of emerging European Union legislation on innovation, technology, and creative industries.
His academic interests include legal frameworks for innovation, intellectual property, digital regulation, and governance of emerging technologies. Rodrigo’s publications span legal, regulatory, and scientific topics. He is the author of several peer-reviewed articles including Les indemnités de transfert en droit portugais et espagnol (Jurisport, Dalloz), and has co-authored works published in Sports Medicine and the Journal of Sports Sciences.
He has participated in academic events and lectures across Europe and Latin America and serves as Content Director of the Iberian American Law Review of Sports’ Business & Economics, as well as Founder of the TAS-CAS Observatory on sports arbitration.
In addition to his academic roles, Rodrigo has over ten years of professional experience as an international legal advisor. He has worked with firms such as Demarest Advogados (São Paulo), Barrocas Advogados (Lisbon) Wannahaves 433 (Amsterdam), and OAKBERRY (Barcelona), advising clients on cross-border transactions, M&A, and regulatory compliance in the technology and innovation sectors.
