Bio
Bakirli, Sofia, Ph. D.c, who is a Lecturer in HRM, has been the Associate Dean of the European Business School in Munich since June 2024. She has worked in managerial or consulting roles for 20 years in multinational and international corporations.
She held the following positions: Education Research Assistant at University of Complutense from September 2003 to June 2004; Organization Manager at INDITEXT SA from June 2004 to June 2006; Learning Specialist at AUTH University from September 2006 – March 2009; Curriculum Developer at the Greek Ministry of Education from March 2009 to June 2013; People Management Developer (Leitung der Gruppe Entwicklungskurse Training) at Landkreis Darmstadt-Dieburg from August 2013 to June 2016; Database Administrator at the European Patent Office from September 2016 to June 2017; Social Science Research Assistant at Linköping University from September 2017 to August 2018; Project Bid Coordinator at IOM in Vienna from September 2018 to April 2019; Talent Acquisition Consultant at Reload Greece remote from March 2019 to January 2021; External Academic Moderator at EUBS Munich from November 2022 to June 2023; and Academic Quality & Subject Coordinator at EUBS Munich from September 2023 to May 2024.
She has taught HRM and business management modules at UoRoehampton from February 2019 to September 2021, UoDerby from January 2021 to September 2024, Arden Berlin from August 2022 to September 2023, and EUBS Munich from September 2018 to the present.
She has a PGCert in Adult Learning from Linköping University of Sweden, an MSc in International Human Resources from Rome Business School, a BA in Educational Psychology from Aristotele University of Thessaloniki and is a PhD Researcher in Business Administration from the European University of Cyprus from September 2020 to the present.
