Bio
Thomas studied Business Administration at the University of Münster, with a concentration in Finance and Statistics, following an apprenticeship in insurance. He began his career as a trainee at Deutsche Bank, where he entered the field of Structured Finance.
Subsequently, he joined Rabobank International and was responsible for developing the German Structured Finance activities, where he held the position of Senior Vice President. His work focused on the cross-border financing of large assets, including aircraft, ships, and real estate.
In the consulting sector, Thomas became a Partner at Stern Stewart & Co., an international strategy consultancy. During this period, he took part in a MBO and contributed to a three-digit number of client projects across industries. His responsibilities also included personnel development within the firm. In addition, he supported the firm’s research activities by publishing several papers for Stern Stewart Research on topics related to corporate finance, strategy, and value management.
Beyond his roles in banking and consulting, Thomas participated as an investor in an education technology start-up, reflecting a long-standing interest in questions of learning and knowledge transfer. Since 2022, he has been teaching at several universities and business schools in Munich.
